Indispensable in any student's college or vocational preparation is a workable knowledge of mathematics. Courses are offered in elementary and higher algebra, plane and solid geometry, trig, and senior math. In short, there is a math course to fit the needs and desires of any student. Another goal of the Mathematics Department is to give students those tools necessary to further their study of science. Acting mathematics building chairman is Mr. Lynn Krafve. The permanent chairman, Mr. LaWayne Mor-seth is furthering his education at Northwestern University during a year's leave of absence.
