Semor Class H :story In the f1les of our school 15 the hxstory of the Semor Class of ' 51 We hope the memory of us w1ll lmger tn the school and w1th all those who were assocxated wxth us We shall never forget the many days spent here For our fxrst day of school answermg Mxss Evelyn B1eber's roll call were Beverly Beyer Chff Bohm Richard Dethloff Marxanne Hengy Frances Hoover Marvm Jacobson Roland Leak Jeannette Sonnek Kathryn Stokman and Julextte Yoluel As we began our second year of educatzon we had Mlss Meyer for our teacher We lost Marxanne who left for Mankato but found Albert Rmdfhesch Cleatus Woztas and Joyce Hoodxe to fxll her place At Easter ttme our teacher left us to get marned and Miss Toft fmxshed the teachmg task for the remamder of the year Fortunately we were all promoted to the thxrd grade Joyce Hoodxe moved and no one fzlled her place Mtss Elxzabeth Mellentme was our thzrd arade teacher and also our fourth grade teacher Julxette Yokxel moved to Mankato for her fourth grade leavxng us wzth another empty desk Upon approachmg the fxfth grade we found Vxrgmxa Woztas was jomxng us Mlss June Iverson was our fifth and sxxth grade teacher The slxth grade was our boom year We lost Dxckre Dethloff but found James Leesch Marzanne Hengy Roderxck Stenzel Davrd Stenzxl Davld Dunn Roscoe Rogers and Lavone Jordahl to fxll hxs empty seat In the seventh grade we were surprised to fxnd we had lost all we galned ln the sxxth grade Beverly Beyer Roderlck Stenzel Davxd Stenzll Davxd Dunn Lavone Jordahl and Roscoe Rogers left us We found Pat Murphy to replace them Mxss Bouer taught us for most of the seventh grade but was replaced by Miss Ahce Sonnek whxle she underwent an operatzon Mlss Sonnek was also our teacher for the exghth grade Pat Murphy dxdn't hke town school so he went back to the country school for hxs eighth grade Thls left our exghth grade to the total of nxne Kathryn Stokman and Vrrgxma Woxtas left to further therr educatxon rn Mankato Wxth thzs leavmg us with seven we hoped for an mcrease 1n our Freshman year We found rt Pat Murphy had come back to Jotn us along wzth James Volz Dean Berndt Frances Stencel Mary Holan and Vxctor Beyer Victor only staved two days In our Sophomore year we lost Marvm Jacobson He had to remaxn home most of the year due to a long xllness Arlene Anderson came from Blue Earth to fxll Marvm s place That year James Leesch decxded to quxt school and stay at home In our Jumor year we lost Mary Holan who moved to Dawson As we approached our final year we found Helen Felber from Wells had come to JOIH us Through all of our ups and downs only three Senlors remamed from the start mg fxrst grade class Jeannette Ronme and Clxff Our graduatmg class of eleven conslsts of Arlene Anderson Dean Berndt Cliff Bohm Helen Felber Marlanne Hengy Ronnle Leak Pat Murphy Albert Rmdflelsch Jeannette Sonnek, Frances Stencel and Jxmmy Volz , I . . . .
