HOMECOMING 1984 The 1984 Homecoming festivities were held from Monday. September 24. through Friday. September 28. Monday was dubbed Teacher Imitation Day. Hawaiian Day was held on Tuesday along with Hat. Tie. and Sunglasses Day. Wednesday was Opposite Sex Day. Thursday and Friday were the traditional Dress-Up Day and Blue Gold Day. The Pep Fest took place on Thursday afternoon. Cary Miller was named Mr Legs and Mary Hennen was chosen to be Miss Muscles. The Vikettes did a routine to SHE BOP. Skits were done by several T.A.'s, the senior football players, the volleyball team, and the senior boys. The football players won the $50 prize for the best skit. The junior class won the spirit jug from the elementary. Coronation was held Friday at 12:30. The honor of King and Queen was given to Mike DeVlaeminck and Nancy VanKeulen. Jerry Pole- lewski and Mary Hennen were voted Prince and Princess. The other senior attendants were: Joanie Pagel and Chad Lanners. Carolyn Engels and Marc Hennen. Sue Swedzinski and Tim Buysse. Junior attendant was Ann Engels escorted by Larry Carline. Sue Josephson was the sophomore attendant escorted by Todd Swedzinski. Deb Sharp was the freshman attendant escorted by Steve VanKeulen. The crownbearers were Mindy VanDePutte and Jason Nelson. The parade was held after the coronation. The senior float won the float contest. Friday night the Russell Tyler Danes were soundly defeated at the big football game. The Homecoming Royalty were presented during half- time. KKCK was the entertainment for the dance which took place after the game.

The senior football players did well with their skit — they won $50! 9. Sharp breaks out and fellow Vikings cover him. 10. Share the tunes. 11. Mrs. Hagen’s exciting TA can hardly control themselves.
