We have worked hard to create a good annual for MHS. W’e hope you are pleased with the results. ADVISOR’S COMMENTS We tried a variety of different things this year and I think that we have been quite successful. Many more of the pictures were taken by the photo staff and we are very thankful to them for that. Since I was completely new to this. Mr. Snorek and Mr. Pagel were very helpful with ideas and hints on how to do things. Thanks to them and to all who helped to make the Viking Ventures what it is! STAFF: Karen Kompelien, Jeanne Laleman, Lowell Buysse. Barb Regnier, and Beth Rabaey. The picture directly above this is action in the darkroom. We’ve heard a lot of people wondering what goes on in the darkroom so we took a picture for you! (Beth is casting a few shadows!) Mr. Pagel is the advisor for the PHOTO STAFF'. He spent a lot of time working for and with us. We would like to thank both him and the photo staff for all the fine work they have done! 23 ROW 1: J. Carver, S. Wambeke, and S. Schwartz. ROW 2: P. The team started out slow with a 1-4 record then came back with 4 surprise wins at the end of the season. The most exciting wins were when the Vikings smothered Flandreau for a 62-0 Homecoming win and beat play- off bound Atwater in the last two minutes of the game. 1. We confidently headed into District play and managed to come out 1 there, also! Region 3A play took place in Montevideo and we beat Monte in two straight games. To our dismay, we lost to Renville- Sacred Heart in the Region finals. We felt honored to come home as Region 3A runner-up, however. This was the farthest any Minneota team has gone. 1. The spring play was the musical “Annie Get Your Gun.” After much work and time, the play was presented to the general public on Friday, April 30, and Sunday, May 2. The play was a huge success thanks to the work of all the directors and the students that were involved in it. Everyone spent many hours preparing for the play. 1. Annie with her kids. R. Bot, J.
