The 1976 Volleyball season got off to a good start with the Vik- ings defeating Lake Benton in the first game of the season. As a whole, the season was a victorious one, with a regular season record of 12-2. After defeating Tracy and Cottonwood, Minneota advanced to the district championship round that was played at Ruthton. The Vikings faced Russell for the district crown in hopes of obtaining the title again this year, but the tough Bulldogs put an end to their dream, by defeating them in two out of three games.
