Carrie Hogstrom Students Begin to Shine A diamond Is made Into Its final rough shape by a process called bruting. In this process one diamond Is pressed against the diamond to be cut as It revolves in a lathe. At Minnehaha the bruting process occurred between students as they interacted in classes, athletics, and extracurricular activities. The facets of friendship, responsibility, faith, and leadership began to take shape. As the students put these characteristics Into practice, the facets became polished and smooth. Many students agreed that their friends at Minnehaha have changed them. My friends have encouraged me to look at things in a singular way, instead of merely taking the accepted view,” said Kristin Hofer (12). Dave Mundt (12) said, They have changed my thinking about cliques and social groups.
