It is worth approximately $3S0 an ounce. Childhood is also valuable, because during childhood we go through experiences that help determine who we will be. From the time we're freshmen to the time we become seniors we mature. We learn to survive disappointments such as not making the honor roll or not winning a basketball game. We give a wrong answer in class and learn that it's okay to he wrong and that we can even learn from.our mistakes. Most of us probably get our first job during high school and learn how to handle our time and money. We finally have the money to buy that sweater or stereo system we’ve wanted for so long, hut saving money and going to Florida over spring break sounds like a lot of fun. Making decisions is a crucial part of growing up and often it takes giving up one thing to get another. The lessons we learn as we grow up are valuable because they will affect the decisions we make as adults. 6 — Opening

We may have friends who dress differently than we do or whose beliefs differ from ours. We may have a friend who is always dressed in the latest fad, while we wear the traditional blue jeans and t-shirt. We might oversleep one morning and have little time to get ready and end up at school feeling ugly, while the next day we might feel great because we've had ample time to get ready for school. These differences, although they may mean a great deal to us, don't change the way our friends feel about us.
