Reflections of the '70’s. Looking hack on a decade that changed more things than most people realized. How could these sweeping changes be shown in a short evening program? The junior class tried their best to show a few of these changes on Friday evening of Homecoming weekend with their program: “Reflections of the ’70’s.” Featuring sketches of Watergate, the Bicentennial, Star Wars, and Chicken Little telling the world that Skylab was falling, a look at the disco scene and special appearances by Elvis and President Carter, the evening ended with the coronation of 1979 Homecoming King and Queen, Dave Hughey and Angel Mordh. So now Homecoming ’79 is history, part of a decade that we all grew up in and will be a part of us for the rest of our lives. 1) Troy Nelson introduces President Jimmy Carter (Steve Hatle). 2) Wade Thom men and Karen Berg as George and Martha Washington. 3) Ron Monson as Elvis. 4) The cast of “Reflections.” 5) Showing teachers the disco side of life with Pam Salovich. Kim Roy. Carol Anderson, Diane Willett. Sharon Johnson and Beth Wilson. 6) The Leon Floodwater Backstage Blues Band cranks out the high test tunes. (Lars Rundquist.
