u Bclva Flcglc, who worked in Minnehaha's admissions office for nearly eleven years, left at the end of the first quarter. Mrs. Flegle played an important part in recruiting many of the students that have come to the Academy. She always expressed a deep concern for people, and, in turn, gained respect from all. Always enthusiastic about Minnehaha, Mrs. Flcglc mentioned the school name wherever she went, including on a KTIS radio program, during visits to churches, at the State Fair, and during Sunday School conventions. We will miss her. 8

Oyyxctoo Cl+7 X O September 20th began a trail of events not soon to be forgotten by the Homecoming candidates. Our princesses gathered one night to shop for material and patterns, as well as shoes and flower wreaths for their hair. Later that evening, the girls went for an overnight at Kirsten Frantzich’s house in Wayzata. This was only the beginning; ONE week was given them to complete their dresses and prepare for the night of Coronation, which was difficult, seeing that these girls already had busy schedules. Some of the girls sought outside professional help with their dresses. Others hemmed up their dresses during mods II-12, less than six hours before Homecoming night. Wednesday evening. Sept. 21, the Royal Court had dinner with President Nelson at The Brothers. HOMECOMING ROYAL COURT 1978 Finally the big night came and all was ready (if you don’t consider leaving your Bower wreath at home and having to fetch it at the last moment). We were honored that 1977’s Homecoming King, Dan Fuglestcad, was able to attend. He announced Stu Waite as this year’s Homecoming King. Then Stu had the privilege of announcing his Queen, Amy Koclz. King Stu and Queen Amy continued to reign throughout the evening and for the remainder of the Homecoming festivities. After the program and Coronation many students ended the evening with a late dinner at such elaborate places as The Orion Room, Forepaughs, the top of the Radisson, and the Lowell Inn at Stillwater. After the games on Saturday some went out for a fancy dinner, while others had fun roasting weiners and singing around a bonHre. Sunday morning, the Homecoming Royalty joined in worship at the Jesus People Church, followed by a fellowship dinner at Becky’s Cafeteria. 10
