Mina ANTLER 76 VOLUME 50 Minnehaha Academy Minneapolis, Minnesota This year is a special one for the Antler, for 1976 marks the golden anniversary of this book. It symbolizies fifty years of the trials and joys of meeting deadlines, typing copy, and taking pictures. It represents the many generations of students and faculty who have been a part of our school, and the thousands of people who have been united in their faith in Christ Jesus. It is with this idea of unity that Minnehaha Academy will continue to present a yearbook worthy of your high expectations. We dedicate this book of memories to you, the people of Minnehaha Academy, with that same sense of unity. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy it now, and treasure it in years to come. -LM3±NO you are canem — 6 7 a chiUv iComtomvog 'IS ■®nc£ uPon'M, October iwh'i ...into a chiLcfjy A jjMii 05 ihru’— -a tizti CitX Tf vilh 4-MJiiiig. Memory as it grows fainter relaxes them, and not withstanding the illusion by which we would fain be cheated and with which, out of love, friendship, politeness, deference, duty, we cheat other people, we exist alone. Man is the creature that cannot emerge from himself, that knows his fellows only in himself; when he asserts the contrary, he is lying. Marcel Proust SENIORS 17 Craig Ahrndt Sue L. Many people used their musical talents to praise God. Among them were the school bands and choirs, faculty quartets. Andrew Culverwall. New Song Singers, and groups from different colleges. Speakers from various backgrounds also shared their faith with us. Pastors, teachers, a Bible smuggler, a police chaplin. and a man involved in Watergate were some of the people who spoke to us. To celebrate the Bicentennial, a series of programs focusing on the maior eras of United States history have been prepared and presented by faculty members and students. 45 St aft Julie Johnson Lorrle Larsen Scott K1lander Jeff Larson Martv Allen Co-editor Co-editor Photo editor Soorts editor Art editor Sonja Mlckelhero Literary editor Jan Oberq Student activities editor Nancv Moon Lav-out editor Other Staff Members Feature Paul Younoqulst, Dwayne Olson, Donald Mlnqo Photo Paul Glomskl Snorts Tim Ramsever Art Carol Larson, Jim G1adman Literary Sarah Parker, James Steldl, Rick Snvder Student activities Tracy Sterllnq, Rick Hanenburq, Clndv Voqel, Cindy Doran Lay-out Brad Plowman, Bill Beckvall, Marcv Clemens ADVISOR Cralo Nordstrom S.G.B. Although not all of the rens were present, this will chanoe (rlnht?) so we can have a really effective Government. The main discussion focused on the revision of all-school convocations. This Is an Important area of Minnehaha, so SGB Is working to decide what kind of chapels would be the most meanlnoful and reflect the spirit of Jesus Christ. Students are encouraoed to come to the meetlnqs, and representatives should find a wav of reporting what happened, to each of their classes.
