Using student and faculty talent. Paula Peterson and Heidi Larson planned a Homecoming program that was filled with delight. It began with the presentation of the Homecoming royalty and their parents. This was followed by a series of short skits and songs on the “Show-boat theme. Realistic props, costumes, and backdrops contributed a great deal to the effect. Following the coronation. there was a reception for everyone in the Campus Room. In spite of unfavorable weather, a great number of students. faculty, and alumni came to cheer the Minnehaha teams in their Homecoming events. A chapel service started the day's program. The girls’ volleyball game with Brooklyn Center followed. Later, the soccer team shut out Benilde 3-0 in an exciting game. A suspenseful football game against Brooklyn Center, which we won by six points, marked the afternoon festivities. A cross country match was held during half-time. 11
