Foreign Languages Promote Communication Varying degrees of proficiency in using foreign languages were attained by students in French. German and Spanish classes. A new fifth year German course provided opportunity for further advancement. Through dialogue skits, magazines, records and oral practice in the language lab. basic skills were reinforced. To gain greater appreciation of the respective cultures, students joined the foreign language clubs. Costumes, a special assembly and a foreign lunch made Foreign Language Day the climax of the year.
