Foreign Languages Penetrate Cultures German, Spanish, and French were the three foreign languages taught at Minnehaha. Effective conversational skills were stressed and they provided a background for further study in many fields. Through various clubs and extracurricular activities, students were encouraged to identify with these foreign cultures. Conversational skits in class and pronunciation practice in the language lab were attempts to make each language more meaningful to the students. In the spring, the students had an opportunity to portray typical costumes and customs of their respective countries in the annual Foreign Language Day program. Mr .
