SPECIAL PLACES remember finals, hailstorms, dented cars, cold winds, hot suns, Lake Mark ( no liquor ), frisbee, foot- ball, tackles grass-stains, diving, July 4th, Memorial Bridge, purple balloons, cool night, clear night, blankets, fireworks, Riverside, high rides, spiders, Loops, stom- ach spaz, Sumner Ave. Friendly ' s, Reese ' s Pieces, hot- fudge chins, Golden Anniversary Sundaes, Tinkham Road running, shin splints, sweating, sprinting, second wind, the Mall, short-shorts, Madonna, bracelets, lip- stick, bikinis, beaches, Spec Pond, Watch Hill, Masquo- mequet, sunburns, lemon juice-blondes, water-skiing, sailing, tanlines, hot sands, Hartford Civic Center, Phil thrills, Private Dancer, Foreigner, buzzing ears, en- cores, Allen Cooley Denny ' s, Showcase, Back to the Future, the Emerald Forest, St. Elmo ' s, Jazzberry ' s, quarters, Coors, sangria, the rhythm of the night, Stu- dio New York, gettin ' into the groove, jobo, Mickey Dee ' s, Pizzeria Uno, the Pondo Pit, Ormond ' s, camping, public bathrooms, baseball games, VCR parties, smash- ing cars, cruising the scene, Hollow Road and One-Eyed Lennie, slumming in the C-l-T-Y, Peach Festival rain-out, the Big E, cotton candy, elephants, laser shows . . . remember frenzied freedom, French Fries, fun, Fri- day fashion, Fribbles, flings, friendships, fried dough, fishing, fibbing, flirting, falling flying fireworks for- ever. In the two years that I ' ve been involved in yearbook, I ' ve learned one very important thing — it ' s not as easy as it looks. As an editor, I ' ve had to worry about pictures being taken, copy being typed, and whether we had enough yearbooks for those who bought them! I could never understand why any adult who didn ' t need an activity to get into college would put herself through this kind of torture. Mrs. Diane Jeserski, willingly put her time into the Minnechaug yearbook for a number of years. In fact, when the 1985 staff had no advisor, she graciously accepted the position even with the responsibilities of a two-year old at home. The 1985 Falcon was plagued with problems, but Mrs. Jeserski still kept the book together even in the face of her own personal tragedies that year. The time and effort Mrs. Jeserski put into the Falcon over the years can not be forgotten. The 1986 staff has decided to dedicate our book to Mrs. Jeserski for all that she has given to the yearbook over the years. Thank you Mrs. Jeserski — and we ' ll always remember.
