There are the loud Chomeroomj, the quiet Qhistoryj, the humorous Cmodern problemsl, the serious Qmathj, the intellectual CEnglishJ, and the physical Cgymb. These different types all contribute in a positive way to the character of Voc. ACTIVITIES Getting involved is the ln thing to do. Participating with other people gives self-satisfaction which is a vital part of school life. Choir, lVl.O.E.A., National Honor So- ciety, as Well as other activities contribute much to school spirit as Well as to the spirit ofthe individual. The competitive spirit abounds in the halls ot Vocational. Football, baseball, hockey, swimming, as well as other numerous sports causes the student to become involved in physical activities as well as academic ones. fi ttf! ii ' ft ' S 4,,t.,,, TW ' 1' - ..........qn - 'hw'- 'Viv , w.,sf1EE'm nv-wr' YD -:sa -yew l'UlAl 4 gyda! to Wu rio trnoo .ml lo 'Q 'fm lag' rc WINE 4 Ti M' ff ywwaam O I +V Q 0 II Qld' ' iff' Us 50 4 0 004110 s o soc f' N Ng. 9 J '1l M 'Q-111.234 olonapq, g,q.l tmfiim kb -lm Wm. ,x rf -'-.- .q-rj-93 ,::.-L3 ,wing qfezzzq- H .ga -- ., -Q w 1 '-LIL,-l ' -. . , ' ' -. -J ' fav.. Our English department meets the needs of the students in thrce basic areas: first, the ability to read and appreciate, with reasonable com- prehensiong second, the develop- ment of basic competence in stu- dent writing, and finally, the abil- ity to communicate through the medium of speech. These needs are met by the offering of a three- year course in English to each and every student from sophomore to senior. This is in order to pre- pare students for all activities related to citizenship in our democracy. Norman Jensen and the assistant principal, Wilfred McGimpsey, we dedicate this book. We sincerely appreciate their many years of service, advice and guidance. We're aiming for the sky . . says Vocationafs school song. This hook can only partially hold the dearest of memories. For the sopho- mores the year of trial and error is over. Juniors look on to their final year. Seniors look back to recall their accomplishments. Re- member the first time you walked in circles searching for a class, not knowing you were on the wrong floor, you bought your first ticket to get into thc Sth floor pool, you worked behind the scenes for the school play, you received your class ring, you got hit in the face with a giant snowball on Sno-Day. you saw your classmates as ladies and gentlemen at the Prom? These are only a few ofthe many fond memories we shall think of as we walk down the aisle on grad- uation night. To Vocational l say farewell. and thanks for everything.
