A Special Serv ice Teacher offers understanding, kindness, and invaluable counseling throughout the school year. As either a public health nurse or a social worker, she is concerned with the physical and mental health problems of the students in the promotion of acceptable social behavior. Counseling is the process of helping individuals understand themselves in the light of their abilities, interests, attitudes, strengths, and limitations. The purpose of counseling in our school is to help pupils make interpretations, choices, and plans leading to socially acceptable and individually satisfying behavior.
