PRESIDENT VICE PRESIDENT On September 3, 19116, fifty-two bewildered freshmen entered the halls of Ein- neapolis High School, little dreaming wha. the next four years held in store for them. With Jerry Baker as president and Mr. J.'11. Jordan and Miss Gladys Hit- chell as sponsors, they successfully sta-:ed an all-school party with the theme, Jasper's Barn Dance. This year the freshman basketball team, coached by Dave Wooster, won the Lincoln Tourney. Don Postlethvvaite was the chief executive their sophomore year, and Ltr. Dave Wooster and Miss Patricia Richardson were the class sponsors. The highlight of the year was the class hay ride to the State Lake, which they got by with only a few minor casualties. The junior year was full of action and found the class well represented in athletics, music, and extra-curricular organizations. Under the direction of Miss Marjorie Baustian, the juniors presented the three-act play, A Credit to the Family. With Club 149 as the theme for their junior-senior banquet, the class of 'SO came through with another successful project. Miss Annette 'Heise- beck and Mr. V. D. Michael guided them through this year, with Eileen Comfort as president. As seniors their class colors were maroon and whiteg their motto was 'Today we follcvwg tomorrow we lead. The class play, One Tiild Night, was directed by Miss Kathryn Smith. One of the most exciting and interesting events of the year was the senior trip to Denver in the spring. Under the leadership of Leo Muller and the sponsorship of Miss Marjorie Ewart and Mr. Harold Dale, the members of the class of 'SO came to the close of their high school careers, the climax com- ing May 22, 1950, when forty-two seniors marched dovm the aisle at the Grade School Auditorium to receive their diplomas. - SECRETARY DIXIE SIIITH Comercial Course Class Sgt. of Arms 3 Sec. 113 Glee Club 1314: Mixed crm-ue 3, Pep Club 12311, Vice Pres. 3, Pres. 145 Y- Teen 123 Kayettes 311 FHA 12314, Vice Pres. hs Junior Play, Sen- ier Playg Highlights staff 113 Lion staff.
