This year for the first time in quite a while the F,H,A, has had an active Executive Counc-il con - sisting of the officers plus Betty Arbogast, Degree Chairman, and Lois Diegel, Chairman of Constitution. Our advisor is Miss Rosebraugh and our Chapter Mother is Mrs. Bessie Wilson. The club has had many activitiesthis year, serving two banquets Q the Rural Youth and Civic Clubj, sponsoring aHalloween Square Dance,promoting F,H,A, week, inviting Hopedale, Armington, and Stanford girls to one meeting, enter - taining the eighth grade girls, sending officers to Officer's Training School, and attending the F,H,A, Rally, One thing new this year was having Secret Pals. This has worked our ve ry well, and the members got a lot of enjoyment from it. The entertainment this year has been quiet varied. It consisted of, Paul Schertz, films, Civil Defense, film, Formal Initiation, camp talk, Pat Malinowski, Home Economist, Barbara Carlson, hair styling and use of cosmetics, Dorothy Schmitt, Christmas Caroling, Handicraft, Mrs. Clarence Bright, and an instal - lation service. Pat Malinowski . . Mrs. Tackett We started this year off with money - making activities. Ways of making money were: picking up corn at John Henderson's, and concessions at Green Valley game. The annual Hi- T Formal was held De ce mbe r 12th with dancing from 9:00 - 12:00. The theme Silver Bells was carried out in the decorations. Silver bells were seen in the doors as you entered the gym and two huge Silver Bells with the word i ng Silver Bel1s on the stage curtain. A false ceiling was made of gaily assorted crepe paper. The cakes served at intermission were decorated with tiny silver bells. Music was furnished by Freddy Barnes Quintet. Judy I-larbert sang Silver Bel1s and Ronnie Cruse played a number on the drums. The Hi- T Formal was a big success with over 100 people attending. The Hi- T Club has also acted as a pep club at the ball games again this year. 25

This year we have had eight monthly meetings with an average attendance of twenty -three at each meeting, There is now a total of thirty members. D eryl Schertz Student Council Rep. , . . . .Edwin Swartzendruber During the summer many of the boys won good places at the F,F,A, and state faris with their vocational agriculture projects and four members went to the State Convention, two as delegates and two who played in the state band. This fall four boys competed in Sectional Land Judging Contest. At the November meeting six freshmen were formally initiated as greenhands and eleven greenhands were advanced to chapter farmers. We had concessions at the Armington basketball game, picked up corn and continued running the milk machine as money - making activities. Plans were made for a Parent- Son Potluck Supper to be held in March. 27
