In Apprcciafian . . . The SPARTA STAFF has worked long, hard hours to bring you this annual. We hope that you will find it satisfactory. I should like to thank everyone who helped bring our work to successful completion. To Mr. Lee, our advisor, I give special thanks. He has helped us in every possible way, and we appreciate it very much. We are extremely grateful to the faculty for the cooperation and patience they have shown during picture scheduling and necessary last-minute class interruptions, for without their assistance editing a yearbook would be next to impossible. Mr. Ingersoll, orchids to you for all you have done to make our job an easier task. I sincerely appreciate your understanding and helpful suggestions for our many problems during the year. As you looked through this 1960 SPARTA, you could not help notice the outstanding artwork. To Ianeal Aldridge, the mastermind behind every piece of artwork in this annual, goes special thanks. janeal also deserves recognition for the cover. I give special thanks to: Kaye johnson, my Business Manager, because she not only handled all our busi- ness affairs but because she also helped write and type all the copy. Maryellen Walton, my Assistant Editor, for her work in editing the activities section. Karen Roemer, my Section Editor, for her work in editing the business section. Pat Patterson, my Typist, for her work in typing and editing the Index. Bill Rawson and Steven Broadhead, our school photographers, for their work in tak- ing and printing pictures. Our special thanks goes to our publishers, the Taylor Publishing Company, and to Artcraft Studio, who took the pictures for the class and organization section, and to Francisco Portraits, who took the pictures for the favorites section. Last of all, hats off to you, the student body of Minico! Because you are really the one who made it possible to have a 1960 SPARTA. We hope that you will enjoy it now and in the years to follow, and that it will bring you pleasant memories of your high school days at Minico. Sincerely, Ms. .Jima .M Karin Shillington, Ediior
