a Day’s ncrk Even though working outside of school has negative aspects, most students think it is worth it. On a positive side, those who work, have extra money. There are also classes such as VOE, OEA, and DE that require you to work on a job. These classes also give more credits than usual. Most of our working students will easily admit that keeping a job is tough. However, these students usually manage to handle it. The ones who do work, keep up with homework, and have a social life worth talking about, should be commended. So when you happen to bump in- to a member of our student body who happens to be on the job, give them a break — they deserve it! Candids 25

After school is usually a time to go home, prop your feet up, and relax after a long, hard, day of school. While most of us are sitting in front of a TV watching cartoons, there are some who have other things to do. Why would anyone try to balance homework, a job, and It’S keep up a good social life ... all at the same time? Whatever the reason, many students at Mineral Wells High have jobs. Jobs of every kina. From work- ing at fast food restaurants and gas stations, to secretaries and even baby-sitting. You can ask anyone who has All in a job and you will probably hear that it takes A LOT of extra time, energy, and patience. That includes working until midnight and doing homework until 3:00 o'clock in the morn- ing, then actually staying awake during class. 24 Candids
