To the Staff and Sponsor of the BURRO I extend congratulations for publishing an- other fine book. To the students, and especially to the Seniors, I want to express my sincere ap- preciation for the loyalty, co-operation, and valuable contributions which you have given to Mineral Wells High School. I would leave this thought with you. In- terpersonal relations, business relations, labor relations, even international rela- tions, if they are to prosper, on good faith, decent intentions, and mutual confidence. It is hoped that during your high school career you have matured in judgement, learned some of the real values in life, grown in spirit and gained something toward prepara - tion for years to come. THOMAS CARNEY Shakespeare said in Twelfth Night I hate ingratitude more in a man than lying, vainness. . . or taint of vice. The lesson for us in these words is clear. As students, our gratitude toward these who have provided our culture and our body of knowledge should be expressed in two ways. We must be determined to learn as widely and as deeply as our abilities allow, and we must resolve to contribute to the sum total of learning to the extent that we can. If we order our lives along these lines we shall never be guilty of ingratitude. H. L. IRSFELD SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
