As he is such a husky young animal, we are sure that his time will be long; that as years pass on his size will increase, and that his ap- pearance will become more beautiful. But even as he stands we are justly proud of him. He was not meant to be a work of priceless art, nor do we want you gentle critics to peruse these pages in a search for gems of literature. If we can convey to you but a slight idea of our high school life and spirit, we will be satisfied If this book serves as a pleasant memento of the lidear old school days, and if in years to come it helps to shed a happy glow over your remin- iscences, then, dear fellow students, the board of editors has succeeded well in its effort But be that as it may. we can only contend that we have done our best. To the back of this long suffering BURRO, the staff has been applied diligently; into his insatiable maw, the Annual Club and the progressive business men of the city have fed the fodder of that ever-necessaryuiilthy lucre; and now after many a long hard pull over rough ground and steep mountains, he has at last reached his corral of what we hope we may call success. With a long, sweet, melodi- ous. soul-inspiring bray he greets you.
