ano testament I, CAROLYN STAFFORD, leave my curly hair to those girls who have permanents. We, JEANETTE ELLIOT, CAROL MOTE, LOUISE FOWLER, and VIRGINIA BOYD, leave to Mr. Dyer one perculator, for that cup of coffee he always needed and a book entitled, How to Get Laughs From Dry Stale Jokes. No, Mr. Dyer, we're just kidding, your jokes aren't dry-they're just stale! We, IRENE WILLARD, LINDA WILLIAMS, and LINDA REICH, leave-wishing we could take it all with us. I, JIMMY MYERS, bequeath my ability to be late for homeroom to Eddie Flowers. I, NANCY MOORE, leave my two-tone hair to anyone who's crazy enough to want it. We, JAMES SPAINHOUR, HAROLD TILLEY, and NELSON BUTT, leave our latest invention to the school-A door that closes but will not open, in hopes that all the boys will make good use of it. I, NADINE HUDSON, bequeath my ability to create laughter everywhere I go, to Brenda Marshall. We, LARRY POSEY, BEN SMITH, and FRANK SMITH, leave our positions in the Y. F. C. Club with the hope that our work will long be remembered. We, PAT SIZEMORE, BRENDA OWENS, and ANNETTE SPICKLER, leave our red hair to Mr. Sims. Wonder if there's such a thing as a red 'bald head ? We, STEVE WALKER, and JERRY BYERLY, leave our love for sports to Allen Smith, Mickey Austin, and Calvin Lawson. I, FAYE SMITH, looking over the things which I have-decided to keep them. We, GENIE PETTIT, and BONNIE REID, leave our well-worn basketball suits to Anita Cohn, Judy Fulp, and Martha Hauser. Good luck on many victories. We, BOBBY FINNEY, MACK RHOADES, HARRY FLYNT, DICKIE NEWSOME, and SAM FESPERMAN, are glad to be leaving. I, STEWART FULK, regretfully leave my position as the only boy in Mr. Dyer's bookkeeping class to any boy who likes girls as much as I do. We, GUY HOLCOMB, CHARLES I-IUTCHINS, DOUG HOOKER, and LARRY TEAL, being in a very generous frame of mind, leave Fleta-not a set of cue sticks-but a brand new pool table! We, BONNIEKBEESON and MARY ELLEN GARDNER, leave our positions on the Library Staff to Judy Goins and Sara Poindexter, who we hope will collect more over-due fines than we did. We, DAVID BLACKBURN, RICHARD THOMAS, CHARLES BRADLEY, and JERRY HUFFMAN, leave some advice to the boys- Never shoot the bull to kill time. We, DEANNA OGBURN, CHARLES SLATER, PHYLLIS MILLER, and LARRY SOUTHERN, leave a Thing-a-ma-jig to Janis Gullege, Frank Scism, Carolyn Holly, and Gary Lee. We, EARL BURTON and OLIN GOODIN, leave our diplomas to Mr. White as we believe he receives the most joy from our departure. I, BECKY HUNTER, leave my seat in the Carolina Theater and the ability to watch the same Robert Wagner movie for as long as it runs, to anyone who likes him as well as I do. We, JERRY WELLS and JIMMY WHITE, leave our ability to get at the end of things-roll call, Qlunch line?j and this testament. We, ESENIORS, bequeath to our Lmderclassmen, the dreams, the hopes, the tears, and the laughter we have shared, finding in each the Uue meaning of friendship. Therefore, we, the graduating class of 1961, set our hands and seal to this, our Last Will and Testament on this the 31st day of May, nineteen hundred and sixty-one. SMITH and ROYALL Lawyers Witnesses: Bulldog Voodoo Doll Road Rtmner This class has died as it must in order for the younger class to take its place. Thus, the never ending cycle to the top continues as the older class must pass away. Al- though she is dead, her memory is buried forever in the minds and hearts of those who so dearly loved her.
