To our teachers who have so untiringly helped us along the way, we bequeath our sincere affections and gratitude, for the diploma we receive could not have been possible without your help. We, KAY PRIDDY, DONNA DUGGINS, and BETTY HALL, leave our cheerleading uniforms, muddy football fields, and cheering crowds to Connie Kapp, Nancy Cromer, and Judy Hutcherson. I, DON REDDING, bequeath my ability to get called to the office every day to Byron Henley, in hopes he will go the first time he is called. We, BARBARA WEST, BECKY HAUSER, DANNY PRIOR, GALE WAAS, and VIRGINIA BREWER, will to Miss Hobbs a clock for the journalism room. Purpose: To prevent news from getting out before time. We, LINDA REEVES, AVALENE DALTON, PAT WARREN, and SYLVIA MATLOCK, leave a gift package of strike overs and misspelled words to Jane Hutchins, Sue Griffin, Ruth Hincher, and Betty Westmoreland. We, BRENDA HOLLAND, BONNIE PARKER, PEGGY AUSTIN, ELEANOR BELL, and BRENDA WIGHTMAN, leave our alluring looks and charming ways to Glenda Jarrell, Diane Coleman, Betty McNeil, and Sylvia West. We, TERRY MOUSIE HICKS, DONNA NOSE COOK, and FREEMAN CHIP BOLES, take our nicknames with us, but leave Dean Moose Semones, Betty Head Moore, and Robert Skinny Anderson stuck with theirs. I, EDDIE WOOTEN, leave my blond curls to anyone who wants to roll them every night. We, CHERYL WILSON, PAT SCISM, BARBARA FANSLER, and KATHY WORRELL, bequeath our places in the Anchor Club to Brenda Sparks, Becky Caudle, Marie Fishel, and Sandra Flynt. We,DWIGHT HICKS, LINDA REAVIS, and JIMMY BROWN, leave our woodwind instruments to Lou and Sue Stafford, with a word of advice. Don't practice too hard, you might blow a hole in your horn! We, MARIE HONEYCUTT and BRENDA COLLINS, bequeath our seats in Glee Club to anyone who can carry a tune. We, DON FERGUSON, GARY BROWN, JON HUNTER, and JACK STEWART, leave our places in the Key Club to Fred Lewis, Danny Fulk, Eddie Flowers, and Darrell Church. We, BARBARA MOORE, J. FAYE JARVIS, SHIRLEE PARKER, and PAT OWENS, leave our friendliness to everyone. I, KAYE BROWN, bequeath my chewing gum to anyone who can chew in class and get away with it. We, PEGGY SMITH, DORIS MYERS, BONNIE BALLARD, JEAN BAKER, and ANN ANTHONY, leave a book entitled, How to Role A Man in 10 Easy Lessons, to Carol Mabes, Carolyn Ellege, and Bonnie Wooten, who could add much information to it. We, SARAH CARTER, JEAN TAYLOR, and BETTY HICKS, leave our book, How to Tie the Knot in the Rope, to all girls who are still single. We, JUDY KIMSEY and TOMMIE OATES, bequeath our ability to be friends for four years to anyone who can stand each other that long. We, HELEN ROYALL, JUDY WI-IITEHEART, and JO ETTA INGRAM, leave our artistic abilities to Mrs. Hagaman, who needs them Worse than we do. I, LARRY CRAVER, leave my ability to be quiet and ignore girls to all boys. I, BILL BRIDGES, and burn them behind me. We, PAULINE HAMM, ALICE REID, and BETTY REID, leave our sisters, Mildred and Virginia, to carry on where we left off. A shoe store she won with the name of Kinney Her manager in charge, BOBBY FINNEY. m DONNA DUGGINS at Sun Valley looking rosey, When along comes an old pal, LARRY POSEY. Gladly he offered a new sun lotion called Fisu Invented and sold by our own PAT SCISM. In a new brick house, mopping the floor, We find busy and tired BARBARA MOORE. A salesman at the door BILLY RAY SCHOLAR, Selling kitchen gadgets for only one dollar. And who do we see as commander of the Marine Corps None other than Mineral Springs' own JERRY MOORE. Then to my astonishment who do I spy EDDIE WOOTEN flying a jet way up in the sky. Several race cars I see driven by thrillers JANICE BURCHETTE, MYRA COLLINS, and PHYLLIS MILLER. Around the track, MYRA in the lead She wins with a smile this'difficult deed. There in that swimming pool I see Famous swimmer, MADELEINE CHANDLER, waving to me. Sitting by the pool, AVALENE DALTON, laughing with glee, MADELEINE is sewing something stronger than tea-Pepsi. PAULINE HAMM is famous as everyone knows, She works at Hanes making nylon hose. Her friend JO ETTA INGRAM travels and goes, On her last trip to Alaska she almost froze. Wow! There is DAVID BLACKBURN, international playboy Using the hearts of NANCY DAVIS and FAYE SMITH as if they were toys. Third wife, BONNIE BEESON, he hides, While with famous singer, BRENDA COLLINS he rides. STEWART FULK, now working with the F. B. I. , Is on the trail of a Communist spy. Assisted by PEGGY AUSTIN and ABIGAIL CARTER, too, They make Uncle Sam a famous crew. Ah, that cop has a familiar face- LARRY RHODES, saving the human race. A ticket he hands to PENNY PLEMMONS Who was caught for speeding through Clemmons. When in Las Vagas we find LINDA WILLIAMS A, winner at roulette, she has made millions. Then in comes MARIE HONEYCUTT in a red gown, A singing sensation, she is the talk of the town. Now we see in a Beatnik Coffee House NANCY and LINDA REEVES quiet as a mouse. Standing by patiently CAROLYN STAFFORD, a real eye catcher Waiting for artist, GALE WAAS to sketch her. Two well known criminals, J. FAYE JARVIS and CARLENE MCGILL Are in Alcatraz prison because they steal. Wardens, BUTCH MITCHELL and SAM FESPERMAN, refused their appeal. Governor, KATIE OGBURN said, No deal! Duzophecy Across the nation on the TV screen Flash JERRY BYERLY and ANNETTE SPICKLER, the new comedy team Then on Bandstand a record called Talker Written and sung by STEVE WALKER. A dentist's office, now new and white, Is filled with patients day and night, With receptionist LOUISE FOWLER, who makes dates By appointment only for doctor, CHARLES BATES. Paintings exhibited, he's a famous man, ,TACK STEWART has fulfilled his plan. And as critic of the literary world, BARBARA WEST has her fame unfurled. When in the mountains you ride You see JIM HUTCHINS a-still trying to hide With his accomplices FRANK and BEN SMITH Of the famous Thunder Road myth. Mr. Wood's position is hard to fill Taking over is CHARLES TEAL. LARRY SOUTHERN and CHARLES HUTCHINS caught in a fight Over who will date FAYE D. JARVIS Friday night. In darkest Africa a guide, LINDA REICH, Leads IRENE WILIARD and CI-IERYL WILSON on a hike, When to a native village they come, They find PEGGY SMITH playing a bongo drum. No, Mr. Dyer, we're just kidding, your jokes aren't dry-they're just stale! We, IRENE WILLARD, LINDA WILLIAMS, and LINDA REICH, leave-wishing we could take it all with us. I, JIMMY MYERS, bequeath my ability to be late for homeroom to Eddie Flowers. I, NANCY MOORE, leave my two-tone hair to anyone who's crazy enough to want it. We, JAMES SPAINHOUR, HAROLD TILLEY, and NELSON BUTT, leave our latest invention to the school-A door that closes but will not open, in hopes that all the boys will make good use of it. We, STEVE WALKER, and JERRY BYERLY, leave our love for sports to Allen Smith, Mickey Austin, and Calvin Lawson. I, FAYE SMITH, looking over the things which I have-decided to keep them. We, GENIE PETTIT, and BONNIE REID, leave our well-worn basketball suits to Anita Cohn, Judy Fulp, and Martha Hauser. Good luck on many victories. We, BOBBY FINNEY, MACK RHOADES, HARRY FLYNT, DICKIE NEWSOME, and SAM FESPERMAN, are glad to be leaving. I, STEWART FULK, regretfully leave my position as the only boy in Mr. Dyer's bookkeeping class to any boy who likes girls as much as I do. We, GUY HOLCOMB, CHARLES I-IUTCHINS, DOUG HOOKER, and LARRY TEAL, being in a very generous frame of mind, leave Fleta-not a set of cue sticks-but a brand new pool table! We, BONNIEKBEESON and MARY ELLEN GARDNER, leave our positions on the Library Staff to Judy Goins and Sara Poindexter, who we hope will collect more over-due fines than we did. We, DAVID BLACKBURN, RICHARD THOMAS, CHARLES BRADLEY, and JERRY HUFFMAN, leave some advice to the boys- Never shoot the bull to kill time. I, BECKY HUNTER, leave my seat in the Carolina Theater and the ability to watch the same Robert Wagner movie for as long as it runs, to anyone who likes him as well as I do. We, JERRY WELLS and JIMMY WHITE, leave our ability to get at the end of things-roll call, Qlunch line?j and this testament. We, ESENIORS, bequeath to our Lmderclassmen, the dreams, the hopes, the tears, and the laughter we have shared, finding in each the Uue meaning of friendship.
