Membership in the National Honor Society has four basic prerequisites--C h a r a c t e r, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. The Quill and Scroll is an honorary society for those students excelling in journalistic fields. In order to be a member a student must keep an overall average of a B. Meetings are held at the homes of the members. They discuss and study various types of literature and their authors. Me mbe rs are inducted into the Quill and Scroll if approved by old members, sponsor, and executive secre- tary ofthe Society. They are initiated immediately after the induction.
