THE MODEL BUILDERS CLUB The Model Builders Club was organized by those students in grades 9-T2 interested in building scale models. The Club meets once a week at which time demonstrations of building procedures are given by members of the club, topics of interest to model builders are dis- cussed, or movies pertaining to moclel building are shown. Several contests are held during the school year. These contests are iudged on the following point system: First Place -------- 3 points Second Place ----- 2 points Third Place ------- i point Each Entry -------- T point The contests held for flying models are judged not on beauty but QU on the flying quality of the plane Q21 the skill of the person handl- ing on the plane. At the end of the year the points are tabulated and the three students with the highest number of points receive prizes. T51

Secretary of Point System GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION To promote programs to meet the girls' need and interests, 2. To promote competition and stress enjoyment of sports and development of sportsmanship and character, and To protect the health of.the girls. A girl is eligible to enter the club after she has received twenty-tive points. She can receive these by participating in all teams sports. After she has received the required amount of points, she has to be initiated. She then strives for a goal: two hundred points to receive a local school letter, and eight hundred, the highest, to receive the gold state pin. Activities: There are sports heads to help with these activities. Among the team sports are Speedball, basket- ball, softball, volleyball, tennis. The individual sports are swimming, hiking, riding and dancing. There are sixty-five girls on roll in the club. 3 . Requirements: 152
