Standing: Glen Cook, Nancy Shields, Patsy Fansler, Jerry Greene, Robert Reid, Patsy Myers, Linda Kreeger. ' LIBRARY CLUB The M.S. H.S. Library Club is composed of thirty-two students from the ninth through the twelfth grades. All members are expected to maintain a high citizenship rating and a C scholastic average. Luncheon meetings are held in the library every other Thursday. Each member serves two hours per week in the library and receives V2 unit credit. Each new member is required to complete a library manual and take a final examination an the work. If successfully completed he is eligible for a Library Monogram. Stars are added for each additional years work. ' Members may ioin the North Carolina High School Library Association and delegates are elected to attend the annual convention each spring. District meetings are also held. The Library Club sponsors one big spring formal usually held at the local Y.W.C.A. Each year Book Week is also sponsored by the club with a week of initiations, chapel program, faculty tea, bulletin board displays, etc.

Club is an inter-denominational group of high school students bonded together to promote: A. Spiritual growth through Bible Study. B. Christian fellowship among the students. C. High Christian living as a means of fighting juvenile delinquency. D. Inter-Club activity. E. Loyalty to church and pastor. This is the third year the Y.F.C. Club has been organized. lt was first established as the Bible Club and began with 13 members. Now the club has approximately 58 members. The activities of the club consist of inter-club activity, Quizzes, Rallies, contests, games, music, and socials. Each Tuesday the club meets for a program. The club has a constitution by which all members must abide. Club pins, book covers, magazines, and banners are available to members. Y. F. C. International sponsors Rallies and summer,camp for members and non-members. The Y. F.
