S ecrc-tary Retizel Snyder Treasurer The Speech Club, organized at the beginning of the 1949 school year, is composed of approximately 15 members representing each grade in school. With Mrs. Joyce sponsor, they meet monthly in accordance with its constitution and levys a small membership fee. The purpose of this organization is to study the aspects of public oration as well as that of poised social speaking, with a view toward correcting defects and improving both speech and delivery. sl! Each petal stands for a certain thing. They are head, heart, hand, and health. Some of the projects of the 4-H Club are raising calves, pigs, crops, chickens, garden- ing, dress making, cooking, cunning, and sewing. The club of our school consists of forty members and several of them won prizes at the fair and at other contests.
