Christmas, 1952 Dear Santa Claus: The little girls and boys in the senior class are putting in their order for Christmas. To start with, Janice wants straight A's all year long. Can you ar- range it? Marcia Jean wants the basket- ball team to win the championship. Isn't that a nice thought, Santa? Dan wants a driver's license. If it is possible to get it to him before Christmas, he would appreciate it. Do you know what Jeretta wants? You'd never guess! She wants a yellow Buick convertible. And Delbert wants a water pistol. He should have fun if you can bring it. Quite a few of the seniors want cars: Ruth Ann wants a Cadillac-no particular color: Bud wants a new Chevy to replace the old black one: since Kelly seems to pre- fer Model-A Fords, he wants A brand- new one: Johnnie requests a two-bone blue '53 Oldsmobile: Jim said, Can always use a new car. He didn't seem particular about the make. model, or color-just so it runs. Since Jack has a driver's license, he would like a car to go with it, too. Here is a boy with a different thought: Don wants a vaca- tion in South Africa-time unlimited. Betty wants a new teddy bear and Dorothy wants a big Toni Doll. Joe isn't particular: when questioned, he said, Name it and l'll take it. Ruthie wants a pair of alligator shoes. Getting stylish, eh? Franklin said, All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. And Phil said he wanted his diploma for Christmas. As for us, Santa, Shirley wants a ticket for a fast train to Cali- fornia and Carol wants a 4-year scholar- ship to K.S.U. If we're all real good girls and boys do you think you can bring us all these things? Gratefully yours, The Feature Editors S. G. and C. R. FLASH! ANNOUNCEMENT 0F THE WCMW DISC JOCKEY WINNER Shirley Gregor and Franklin Price were selected by popular vote of the Junior and Senior classes to be guest disc jockeys on the WCMW Mobile Unit when it visited Mineral City October 29 and 30 respectively. 9.6
