Liffle did fhey realize fhal' fhis day would go down in hisfory. ll' was on lhis day fhal fhe Class of '53 began. Twenfy boys and eleven girls were beginning fheir school year under Miss Madge Dolly. Thev were as follows: John Abel, Eugene Arqenfo, Jovce Beers, Janice Bell, Marcia Jean Bolin, Jack Brinkman, Lucille Brinkman, William Crislip, Billv Crilley, Rufh Ann Crone, Donald McDonald, Vance Douglas, Eu- qene Duerr, Jereifa Finley, Anna Mae Green, Roberl' Hardqrove, Bud Labus, James Lindsay, Charles Meek, Merle Meek, Verle Meek, Doro- l'hy Myers, Franklin Price, Carol Rausch, Lorin Shrover, Rufh Shrover, Johnny Van Mefer, Kay Whiflock, Jack Wilson and Joe Wilson. ln our second vear wi+h Miss Mafhev, 'lhe presenl' Mrs. LaFolleHe. as our feacher we found we had losl' Kay Whiflock, John Abel, William Crislip, Charles Meek, Jack Wilson, and Joe Wilson. Our new class members were Bobbv Brannon. Twila Humphrey, Ronald Overdorff and Phillip Rufener. As fhird qraders we found Miss Banker as our feacher. We made a few changes by adding Befly Hein, Grefchen Kasfor, Pearl Kennison, and Ellsworfh Tope, while we los+ Joyce Beers, Vance Douglas, Roberf Hardgrove, Anna Mae Green, Ronald Overdorff and Eugene Duerr, ln fhe fourfh grade we had Miss Annabelle Rudolph as our feacher. The addifions fo our class were Goldie Anderson, Charles Carling, Dan Dean, Don Dean, Delberl' Holcomb, and Leonard Porfer. We losl' Roberf Brannon, Beffy Hein, Twila Humphrey and Verle Meek. ln 'lhe fall of '45 we again found Miss Anna- belle Rudolph as our feacher. This year we gained John Flowers, Shirley Gregor, Lesfer Ley, and Dorofhy Pealy while we losf Jack Brinkman, Grefchen Kasfor, Pearl Kennison, Donald Mc- Donald and Leonard Porfer. ln our sixfh year we found Mrs. Emma Gude- koonfz fo be our feacher. We were well pleased. We gained Dick McGuire, Jim Ray and Henry Young. We losf Charles Carling and Wayne Lindeman. We were now sevenfh graders and fhus moved fo fhe second floor. We found fhe change in classes quife excifing. Again Mrs. Emma Gude- koonlz was our home room feacher. We had four new members: Bill Barkheimer, Diane Bers- fon, Chuck McGuire and Lesley Zurfley. ln our eighfh year wifh Mr. J. H. Proper as home room feacher, we losl' Eugene Argenfo, Lucille Brinkman, Billy Crilley, Chuck McGuire, Dick McGuire, and Delberf Holcomb. Thus ended our firsf eighf years of our school life. The following fall in Sepfember I949, we en- lered High School. This year we fell' much older. Duo fo a fraffic accideni' we losl' John Flowers. Our home room feacher was Miss Annabelle Rudoloh. The faculfy consisfed of Mr. Proper, Mr. Huff, Mr. Bonvechio, Miss Rudolph, Mr. Baker, Mrs. Conglefon, and Principal, Mr. Riley. Mr. Huff was our class advisor during our Sophomore year. This year we losf Bill Bark- heimer, Diane Bersfon, Lesfer Ley, and Henry Young. The faculfy consisfed of Miss Rudolph, Mr. Huff, Mr. Prazniak, Mr. Proper, Mr. Baker, Miss Sill and Principal, Mr. Sfover. Being Juniors we really felf wonderful. During +his year we presenled a fhree-acf comedy Comin' Round fhe Moun+ain . I+ was direcfed by Mr. Proper and proved +o be a greaf success. Anofher big evenf of fhe year was fhe Junior- Senior Banquef, held af fhe Pines in Canfon, Ohio. Jack and Joe Wilson and Jack Ayers were new members, while we los+ Jim Ray and Dorofhy Pealy. Facully consisfed of Mr. Huff, Mr. Proper, Mr. Prazniak, Mr. Baker, Miss Sill, Principal D. W. Sfover and Miss Musgrave, our home room feacher. ln Sepfember l952, we refurned for our sen- ior year, feeling very dignified and imporfanf. We presenfed a fhree-acl' comedy Mama's Baby Boy , direcfed by Miss Musgrave. Delberf Holcomb ioined our class while we losf Jack Ayers and Ellsworfh Tope. Mr. Huff was our home room feacher. Ofhers on fhe faculfy were Mr. Heacock, Mr. Sanfee, Miss Musgrave, Mr. Baker, Miss Rufh Pierce and Principal, Mr. Sfover. Those who sfarfed here in 'lhe firsf grade and wenf all fwelve years fo M.C.H.S. are: Janice Bell, Marcia Jean Bolin, Rufh Ann Crone, Jer- e++a Finley, Beffy Gross, Jim Lindsay, Dorofhy Myers, Franklin Price, Carol Rausch, Lorin Shroyer, Rufh Shroyer, Johnny Van Mefer.
