Brenda Castloo, an accomplished twirler, performs the duties of her rank with dignity and poise. Director Buddy Ryland reports this the most successful year in the history of the school. The eighty-piece organization has gained recognition, not only from athletic fans who heard and saw weekly performances at the football games, but also from people in surrounding communities, whoacclaimthe musicians one of the outstanding bands in East Texas. Through cooperation with fellow band members and the director, each member shared proudly in a First Division rating at Marching Contest. Proudly leading the band are seven First Place twirlers. All have won gold medals in twirling contests.
