TO BUD MOODY Who called Mineola home, and who returned to teach and coach the High School Yellow Jackets in 1946 to 1948. Bud Moody, teacher, coach and gentleman, was a rare man. He was loved and admired by high school athletes, both members of his own teams and of his opponents. He had a lovable, gentle na- ture, a fine sense of humor and a great philos- ophy of life. He coached high school athletes and during his service in the US Navy he trained teams then readying themselves for battle in the Pacific Theatre. He manifested at all times the finer things in life. All who played with or for him have been enriched by his life. He left us the summer of 1956, but his in- fluence reigns on . ft Special commendation and honor are hereby given Kay Cooper, freshman, who despite her handicap in walking, has a- chieved where many have failed.
