He completed his high school education at San Benito, Texas, where he lettered 3 years in football. He attended A and M College in 1945. The following 2 years were spent in the Marine Corps, where he play- ed football. In 1948 he attended Brownsville Junior College, where he lettered in football and track. The remainder of his education was ac- quired at ETSTC, where he lettered 3 years in track and 2 years in foot- ball. He holds the record at East Texas of 'IO9 yd. runback against Midwestern. He deserves the credit for building a hard running backfield which has operated smoothly throughout the season. Under his leadership we should have a fine club the coming season. Sloan had a successful track season, placing in two events in the State Meet. Coach FRIEMEL came to Mineola as assistant Coach in 1954. He completed his high school education at West Columbia High School, where he played football. He attended ETBC where he lettered 3 years in football. He has developed a hard charging and hard tackling line which has proved a valuable asset to the team. Under his training we should have an excellent line next season. Coach Friemel also coached basketball. Mineola will have its first team in 2 years this season. Coach MENASCO came to Mineola as head basketball and B Team Football coach in 1955. He completed his high school education at New London, where he lettered 3 years in football, basketball, and baseball. He attended ETSTC where he played basketball and receiv- ed his bachelor 's degree. Coach Menasco had a fine season this year with the B team and did an excellent iob of preparing them for the A team.
