CLASS HISTORY In September 1952 25 shy and bashful freshmen entered the doors of Mrndoro Hrgh. After a few weeks had passed most of us had Jorned orgamzatrons such as F F A F H A chorus band and forensrcs The year started out wrth rmtratron to get us rn the party mood and acquarnted wrth the other classes W gave a return party rn apprectatron. We returned as Stlly Sophomores rn the fall of 1953 Thrs year we had the prxvrlege of rnrtrattng Before we knew tt we had completed another term and we were all back as Energrc Jumors Thrs was our btg year as we put on our class play A Lucky Penny and held a banquet Apnl 18 1955 at the Maple Grove Country Club rn honor of the Semors The last three years have gone by too qutckly and here we are Mtghty Semors We had our class ptctures taken tn October We used the theme Wrnter Wonderland for our Snow Ball Colleen Davrs was chosen by the class to rergn as queen of the event She chose Alton Kramer as her escort for the evemng Everyone has helped organrze our annual Coulee Echo In the sprrng we presented our senror class play Our class was preoccupred wtth many ways to earn money for our class trrp after graduatton Durmg the four years we garned and lost a few classmates but we end up wrth 27 We have been a successful and happy class but now as we go our drfferent ways a feelrng of regret and sadness ts felt rn our heart but all of our prectous memorres shall never be forgotten , . . . . , . . . e the Freshmen. Culpitt. CLASS HISTORY On September 6, 1955, the Jolly Juniors returned to Mindoto High School, ready to begin the new year. During the summer we lost two members of our class, Mary jones and Jerome Schmidt, and during the first semester Merle Fischer also left us, reducing the number of our last years class of twenty-nine to twenty-six. Our first big event of the year was the class play, My Little Oscar , which was held on November 11. After the play, our class sponsored the Christmas party, and at the present time we are making plam for our Junior-Senior prom which is to be held on April 6. Mary Ellen Pfaff and Lois Paisley represented our class in the Carn- ival and Snowball courts. Members of our class are participating in the following activities: Band, Chorus, F.F.A. , F. CLASS HISTORY On September 3, 1955, nineteen ambitious Freshmen came up the walk to Mindoro High School. Soon after we enrolled, we became accustomed to the school routine and were getting smarter by the minute. '55--BASKETBALL--'56 The 1955-56 basketball team coached by Mr. Fred Eberlein, ended the rugged season with four victorys and sixteen defeats. There were six seniors on the team leaving five very capable letrermen for next year with plenty of height. Myron Paisley, a senior, took scoring honor this year dumping in 291 points. Another senior, Harry Baker, playing guard scored 233 points. A junior, Jim Allen, playing forward and not far behind scored 195 points. Gary Olson, a senior scored 139 points. Kenny Pfaff, a senior who played a fine defensive game, scored 124 points. Two other seniors, who were good rebounders, Glen Kirchner and David Olson scored 61 and 19 respectively. Lou Enos, a big junior boy, who will be back next year, scored 101 points Two juniors Herb Davis and Steve Craig and a freshmen Earl Roberts, rounded out the first team. We also had other mentionables that helped a great deal this rough season. They included Bill Miller, Don Koss, Don Mahlum, Harold Welda, Sidney Welda, Wilfred Pfaff, and Doug Paisley, The team of the 1955-56 season wish to express their thanks to the ever-yelling cheerleaders, Elaine Craig, Mary Miller, Harriet Storandt, and Shirley Johnson.
