CLASS PROPHECY Here rt IS 1965 and I haven t seen my old schoolmates for Just about 10 years I dectded I would hold a class reunton when I got home for a vacatton So three weeks ago I got the chance to contact a few of the members of our class I learned that some were too far away to come all the way back to Wtsconstn so I called them by long dtstance telephone and that way I found out just what everyone was dotng or IS gomg to be dotng tn the near future The two old mards Altce Storandt and Martlyn Wadel are shartng an apartment tn La Crosse Altce ts worktng tn the offtce at the lockrngton Dames as a prtvate secretary and Martlyn does the housekeeptng As a srde ltne to make more money the gtrls bought a ptece of land near Burr Oak and are ratsrng pme trees They get a good proftt from the trees espectally at Chrtstmas ttme Wrllard Storandt and Leslte Swartz are tn Calrfornta where they are offtctal Judges for all the beauty contests that are held They say they are en1oy1ng thetr Jobs very much Larry Sulltvan 1S thetr chauffeur who drtves them from one contest to another Vtvtan Jerome and James Mealy are partners at the Moonltght Pavrlton at Cataract They bought the hall soon after they graduated from Mmdoro Htgh School They re maktng qutte a success of tt they say They are getttng btgger and btgger crowds every Saturday mght Thetr success may be due to the good mustc About two years after graduatton James Kroener organtzed an old trme dance band and now he ts under contract wtth Vtvtan and Jtm stattng that he ts to play at the Pavtlton every Saturday ntght unttl tus contract runs out Jerry Parsley has been playrng professtonal basketball stnce 1955 Rtght after htgh school was out or the summer the Fort Wayne Ptstons grabbed lum before someone else had a chance to see htm play Hts salary IS S15 O00 a year Stnce he broke the Coulee Conference record back tn 1955 he has been tn the ltmeltght a great deal At the present ttme he has just ftrushed a tour of the country wtth the Ptstons and now he rs gotng to take the Job of head coach at Norwalk Htgh School Mr and Mrs Rrchard Wrtte fCorr1ne Pfaffj have restded on the Wrtte farm smce thetr marrtage rn 1956 They are ratstng sheep and chtldren Rtchard and Corrtne say they hke marrted ltfe a lot We are sure they do They have a lovely famtly Adolphus the oldest rs 8 years old Regmald Perctval IS 7 Dagmar ts 6 Abrgatl l-ltldegarde ts 5 Ingeborge rs 4 Alotstus ts 3 Ebenezzer ts 2 and Augustus IS 1 They hope to have at least four more chtldren and then they say therr famtly wtll be complete They are operattng on the prrnctple that they come cheaper by the dozen Rtta Pfaff now owns her own school of beauty Rtta s Potse and Charm Saloon wluch ts sttuated 1n Mtlwaukee where Blatz ts brewed and Schlttz was made famous She ts known the world over for her beer and raw egg hatr rtnse Charles Welda ts gorng to Reno rn just a month or so After he completed hrs traxntng at the Law School where he earned hts degree for law he satd that the fteld was too crowded around here When someone satd that there were many more lawyers tn Reno Charles stated the fact that there were also more people down there tryrng to get hold of lawyers to handle thetr cases He frgured that the opportumty and also the pay would be much better James Johnson ts playrng the lead rn the televtston show THE WEB As he rs known around Mlndoro Hxgh School as Sprder tt was only fttttng that the dtrector of the televtston statton should cast htm approprrately to make htm feel at home Hts stdektck Delvan Horstman ts known as Sprnner on the show They have solved more cases on televtston than Jack Webb has ever dreamed of dotng Dorothy Allen and Leland Gtlbertson are a comedy team who produce thetr own televtston show It s called Lrfe Wrth Swede On the show they are a marrted couple that have got the everyday problems of any normal UQ persons that are happtly marrted Of course tt ts somettmes a lrttle dtffrcult when Swede gets one of hrs drzzy spells As for myself Janet Storandt after htgh school I attended the Gale lnstrtute of Arrlrne Tratntng I then procured a Job wtth the Trans World Atrlmes as a recepttomst As an employee I get all my travel expenses patd for any trtps I take I have just returned from a trrp to Europe where l enjoyed myself very much seerng the thtngs and gotng places I have always dreamed about And now that you have found out a ltttle of what we have been dotng tn these past years srnce we graduated I w1ll go back to my Job for my vacatton ts over . . , . . . 1 I 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 0 . . , . . . 1 g 1 1 I 1 1 , . 1 1 1 1 s . 1 1 1 1 1 I 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 I - . n . , . ,, . . . . 1 1 . - 1 , . 1 Q . . . . .
