Cfaaa ,jwhafory In September l9h8, a class of 20 shy and bashful freshmen began four of the most memorable years of their lives. As time passed, we grew less shy and we participated in school activities, among the first of them was initiation, which we all survived unharmed. Now we had received our official recognition as students of M.H.S. Many of us soon became active in F.H.A., F.F.A., band, chorus, forensics, athletics, and other organizations. As sophomores, we gave an initiation party to the new freshmen. By now, we were determined to get out and make ourselves known. No, we weren't shy anymore. By using determination and hard work, we were able to win recognition and respect for our class and our school. In 1950 8c 'Sl our class settled down to hard work We gave a class play 'Aunt Cathy's Cat,n a mystery comedy which left no one disappointed We received our class rings and planned a junior sen lor banquet held at the Stoddard Hotel in LaCrosse Our theme was 'Out of the harbor, into the sea, and was very cleverly carried ou in our centerpiece, place cards, programs, and music September 1951 came quickly Now, we were mighty seniors We had our class pictures taken Everyone helped organize our annual called Tiger Tracks Our class was concerned with ways in which to make money for our class trip in May Our class held a talent show during our junior R senior years and gave a basket social to which the public was invited, in April In the Spring, we gave our enior class play Many of us worked on the school paper, Le Coulee during our junior and senior years During our four years of high school, some members of the class have moved to other towns but all who left have come back again W still have 20 members, the original 20 who started school together are now graduating together The close of school and graduation came very soon we have re ceived our basic education and will go our many different ways at the crossroads of life we have been a successful and happy class, working together Now, as we go our different ways, a feeling of sadness and regret is in our hearts, but those precious memories we have acquired will be with us forever 4,- x, 141A Lvggzr xmha D SFRA S ,iit lnusgizlgfl , Adm 1 rf' , I I JZ s I , - - I Y If t I Y' O O ll .
