It is the desire of the Grig staff to bring you a complete story in pictures and words of the faculty, students, and events of the past school year. Through the eyes of the eight guides, you will recall teachers and classmates. The binoculars are also focused on special occasions, organizations, and sport activities. Without you, the students and faculty, there would be no book. You inspired the staff to work hard, you co-operated in making the pictures, and we hope you will use this book as a record of the 1955-56 school year. School is not just a word or building-it is a living, breathing mass of young Americans learning to live and work together . . . learning lessons from books and from the hearts and minds of others. As you turn through this book, heartwarming experiences will become unforgettable treasures, because the pages are alive with your pictures and the things you have done, so vivid that years from now you can look at The Grig, and it will represent Minden High School to you. These eight girls will take you on a tour through the nine eventful months of a school year at Minden High School. Acting as guides for the 1956 Grig are lseatedl Mary Nelson, Karis Robinson, Joan Andress, Margaret Powell, Sandra Carson, Linda Cox, lstandingt Jackie Batton, and Betty Sue Lewis. Q
