CLASS HISTORY Thirteen years ago the class of 1953 began their tourney through the school system Mlnatare Kindergarten Miss Adams, was our teacher Of those starting in 1940 there are f1V6 left They are Charles Arends, Douglas Jay, Nelson Jay Kenneth LaFon and Harvey Reichert Fust Grade Miss Nicholas was our teacher We made vegetable soup this year Second Grade Miss Winters was our teacher Kenneth Rein Joined us this year and has remained to graduate with us Third Grade Miss Ph1ll.1p1 was our teacher Ronald Hoffman Joined us here and IS still with us Fourth Grade Mrs Helmick was our teacher There were no new additions to our class this year Fifth Grade Miss Will and Mrs Burry were our teachers Shirley Molko Sam Paz, and Jerry Fertig became members of our class Sixth Grade Mrs Sage vas our teacher We helped put on the first operetta Jack and the Beanstalk Since then operettas have become an annual affair Seventh Grade Mrs Matzke and Mrs Schuman were our teachers Bonnie Coo the county fair and now hangs permanently in the study hall Eighth Grade We had the same teachers aga1n Max Tyrrell and Darlene Wickard were the new members We inaugurated Ir High N1te which has become an annual event Ninth Grade New Students were John Burbach Harvey Bauer, Gene Green, V1olet Eskam Betty Burbach LaVonne Wise, Arlene Schlager, Junior Yokomlzo Robert Ashenbrenner Bob Lofrng Dwight Schmidt, and Barbara Shadegg Class spon sor was Mr Owens, and Class Officers were Jo Ann Koch President, Delores Sauer Vice President, Bonnie Coover, Secretary, and Kenneth LaFon, Treasurer Tenth Grade New Sflldefll' were Don Ramig Delores Hermbouch and Thelma Anderson Class Sponsor was Mr Alvord, Class Offlcers were Sam Paz President, Kenneth Re1n, VICB President, Lyle Kinney Secretary, and Io Ann Koch Treasurer Eleventh Grade The new student was Betty Pollard Class sponsor was Mr Nicholas and Mr Rockafellow Class Offlcers were LDUIS Shove, Pres1dent, Bonnie Coover V1ce Presldent Harvey Bauer, Secretary Treasurer The name of the Class Play The Professor Proposes Twelveth Grade The new student Marlyce Me1er Class Sponsor was Mr Luedke Class Officers were Kenneth Rein, President, Ronald Hoffman V1ce Pres1dent, and Delores Hermbouch, Secretary Treasurer . . . of ' I I . u . . . . . , ver joined us here, We made a seed picture of Chief Minatare which won first prize at I I .
