Britain Pony Pipers inspires Turn on the tunes, man. Vl!here's my passport? l can't believe l'm really here! By selling Almond Roca and per- forming, the Pony Pipers earned money to take a two week concert tour of England and Scotland during Spring Vacation. The twenty-four member group flew to England on lVlarch 16 and returned home on Nlarch 30. They toured Scotland for one week and spent another week in London. lVlr. Gil Timothy served as director and organizer and Nls. Sally Iverson was chosen as chap- singers erone. Seeing Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace, touring the roll ing hills of Scotland, and visiting Stonehenge highlighted the trip. The group performed almost every night, giving one or two hour con- certs in churches and schools. The students toured in a private bus and stayed in five home stays. l've never travelled with a finer group of students. They were warm, prompt, considerate and friendly. This has been an experience which none of us will ever forget, stated Nlr. Gil Timothy. .Lf 25' i figs A 4.
