5 Cv TO THE STUDENT BODY OF MILWAUKIE: We are now completing a year of school which has been conduct- ed during the most trying of times. In spite of the many interruptions in our regular routine, our student body as a whole has met every sit- uation in a masterly manner. You are to be congratulated upon hav- ing so successfully adjusted your- selves to the unusual conditions which have prevailed. This, I think, is a tribute to our American system of education and to you as prod- , ucts of that system. xx - K f 1 N- ff J. -47010 Mrs. Catherine B. Piper, as Dean of Girls, has been in a position to serve the students ol Milwaukie in many ways. Her wisdom, hospitality, and interest in individual students have been oi great help in increasing the school spirit of Milwaukie. Principal. Mr. Norman C. Thorne, as vice-principal, has taken over many of the responsibilities of run- ning the school, and has incorporated a new system of activities into the schedule of Milwau- kie. His keen interest in the students, and in their problems has answered many difficulties which have arisen throughout the past year.
