Carl Stephens Secretary-Treasurer . , Beverly Jordan Sergeant-at-arms Julius Frei, Harold Brown FRESHMEN CLASS, This year's Freshman class started its High School career by successfully entering many school activities. Under the advisorship of Mr. Horn, they presented two science movies and a general science party. The class, under the leadership of its officers Dick Gribble, Carl Stevens, and Beverly Jordan, sponsored a basketball game. They emerged from the Junior game victorious over Oregon City Junior High. The proceeds from this game were used to purchase suits for the junior basketball team. Eleven Freshmen were listed on the First Semester Honor Roll. They were Carolyn Carlisle, Raymond Church, Jack Chadsey, Eleanor Danielson, Anne Goodman, Pat Miller, Ann Morton, Mildred.Peach, Dana Peterson, Judith Wheeler, and Ellen Tandberg, Many Freshmen belonged to Tri-Y, Home Ec. and Footlighters. Carol Moir was elected Treasurer of Footlighters and Art Wright served as Sergeant- at-arms of this organization. But Now There's Buford, was the Tournament play given by the Fresh- men. This was a teen-age comedy and the cast included Ann Morton, Carolyn Carlisle, Camille Forster, Irene Trost, Jack Chadsey and Raymond Church. Property manager was Julia Knight. She was assisted by Dorothy Fisher and Teddy Eastman. This play was directed by Phyllis Whipple and Bettie Olson. Virginia Bryant and Betty Sellers were two freshmen who helped fill the position of drum majorettes.
