As the Seniors of 1944 leave Milwaukie Union High School, they take with them proud and happy memories of their class, its achievements and contria butions to the school. The service flag' includes eight stars which represent members of the class of 159-14. Those who have been taken from school to serve their country are: l,ee Lucas, Elmer Cress, Harry McDonald, Harold Barr, Bob High, Dick Oberstaller, Alan Booth, and Don Seamster. The Senior Class officers, Joe Miller, Wayne Phillips, Randi Raanes and Greig Hudson, were assisted in their duties by the Senior Permanent Com- mittee. This committee included Bettie Olson, Norine Boyd, Vera Mason, Gari Woods, Bruce Ecklund, Jack Sperr, Chuck Parker, Bill Weiirandt., Berthamae Jasman, Jo Anne Smith, Bill Hanson, and Norma Atwood. The Booster Club was headed by a most capable senior, Bret Kelly, who also served as chairman of the Junior-Senior Prom Committee. Six Seniors were admitted into Thespians. Trey were: Norma Atwood, Pat Gibbs, Bettie Olson, Randi liaanes, Delpha Starker, and Roger Tappendorf. The cast of the Senior Tournament Play included Cliff Snider, Bret Kelly, Yi-rnon Schmidt, Arnold Sleep, Alice Zvdnik, and Helen Branlund. This play. Let's Move the Furniture, was awarded second place, and was directed by two seniors, Randi liaancs and llelpha Starker. Ii
