A number, as seniors, ended their football career in MUHS in all its championship glory. They were Inky Boe, Gene Foidel, Bradford Ecklund, Dick Burger, Dick Iamison, Alvin Bischoff, Terry Metcalf, Bernard Sturdevant, Bob Skoglund, Ward Soules, Lester Iensen, and Dan Ramsey. Bernard Sturdevant, Bradford Ecklund, Merrill Peterson, Dick Iamison, Owen Bauserman, Herry Basnett, Terry Metcalf, and Ed Opp were the most prominent senior cagers. Seniors participating in a most successful cross-country season were Walter Gillingham, Don Garber, Bill Stenett, Dick Mclnntyre, and Marion Eckley. Those on the baseball team were Bernard Sturdevant, Bradford Eck- lund, Gene Foidel, Harry Basnett, Merrill Peterson, and Bob Skoglund. An active Senior Permanent Committee consisted of Dick McIntyre, Iean Bauserman, Dave Lau, Dorothy Miller, Irene Cutress. and Mary Frances Egge. Mary Yoshitomi and Susan Ioan Iessop attained the highest scholastic ratings ot the first semester. McINTYRE I BAUSERMAN Howard Atwood and Kay Elletson were the only veteran Thespian members. CUTHESS Dorothy Miller was initiated during the iirst semester. Irene Cutress, Melinda Bates, Iune Souply Myrtle Iensen, Peggy Funk, and lean Baus- erman were the most outstanding senior girls participating in sports. The Seniors, headed by Elna Elliott, editor, held many positions on the Maroon Staff. They were Dottie Martin, Dorothy Smith, Erlene Eckley. Howard Atwood, Marion Eckley. Lewis Engberg, and Bob Strasser. Seniors on the track team were Inky Boe, Walt Gillingham, Don Garber, Dick McIntyre, Don Gardner, Eldon Ulrich, Dale Cook, Lester Iensen, Charles Sperr, Stanley Akins, and Marion Eckley. EGGE 11
