You will never forget the profitable, carefree hours spent in the companionship of Christian classmates and Chris- tian teachers. You realize all too well that a most pleasant phase of your life has come to a close. You now stand on the threshold of a new period in your life. The future stretches out before you unknown and unexplored. Although you cannot know what the long succession of tomorrows will bring, you are not in the least disturbed. You can face the veiled years ahead with serenity and hope. You can accept the mature responsibilities of the future confidently because as disciples of Jesus Christ you know that all things work to- gether for good to them who are called according to His purpose. ln this wonderful promise of God you are assured of God's love, guidance and help. You have the unbreakable pledge of your heavenly Father that your future is secure in His keeping, that nothing in your life will ever occur haphazardly or by chance, but that all of the events in your life will co-operate to promote your essential well-being and happiness. May our gracious Lord who watches over you during your high school years continue to. be with you and bless you. E. F. M2 ll ll ill Early last September the Aurora staff had its first meeting. At this meeting the dedication was de- cided upon, After that, the work on the book was begun in earnest. There were layouts to be planned, pic- tures to be taken, copy to be written, and typing to be done. The expenses connected with the publication of this book were paid for by Patron Money and subscriptions. We take this opportunity to thank the Patrons who made this Aurora possible. A vote of thanks also goes to our adviser, Mr. Fenske. His help was indispensable in the plan- ning and editing of this book. Also due for their share of credit are Messrs. Bartsch and Stoll. Their efforts kept the photography department running smoothly. We, the Aurora Staff, hope that everyone will enioy reading this book as much as we have enioyed bringing it to you. Top Row: R. Not only a thorough knowledge of business pro- cedure is obtained, but pleasure is also derived from the discussions. There are three sections in the main club. Under the supervision of Mrs. Komisarek the second and third period class elected Joanne Unke, president, Alice Hafner, vice-president, Kath- ryn Schall, secretary, and Nancy Goede, treas- urer. Mrs. Knoll's fourth and fifth period class elected Donna Peterson, president, Jean lip- pert, vice-president, Phyllis Krause, secretary, and Carol Batzler, treasurer. The fourth period class of Mrs. Komisarek chose as their officers Barbara Boese, president, Faith Weber, vice- president, Lenore Boeck, secretary, and Jean Kramer, treasurer. The most enioyable activity of the year for this organization was the Christmas party held in the cafeteria. Corsages and gifts were pre- sented to Mrs. Komisarek, Mrs. Knoll, and Miss Tonn. Some of the activities of the Council are issuing, repairing, and checking lockers, handling of all ticket sales, providing checkers, chess, and a dartball league in winter, and giving out of basketballs and softballs in spring. Mr. Pohl is the Council's adviser this year. Last fall, two representatives went to Racine to take part in a convention of all Lutheran High Stu- dent Councils. Out of this meeting came the idea of a student court. At present, the Student Council may summon any student who violates rules of the school before a iury of Council members representing each class.
