next on the schedule was stone mountain and homecoming. the eagles put it all together with the offense rushing for 250 yards. the pirates held milton to 6 points during the first half. the high-geared offense visited the land of seven points twice in the third quarter. stone mountain scored on a blocked punt. the eagle defense played hard nosed football and turned in a shut out. the final score was milton 20 and stone mountain 6.

L5 xr i 1 A K ., K 1, 9 I on october 6 the eagles journeyed to sandy springs to meet the challenge of the sandy springs panthers. the eagles jumped off to an early 6 to 0 lead and held on to go into the half leading by six. in the second half the eagles saw an aroused sandy springs team score three times while holding the eagles scoreless. the eagles had victory in sight but couldn't hold on, losing 21 to 6. on september 29 the eagles traveled to panthersville stadium to do battle with the Iithonia bulldogs. the eagles got off to a bad start and fell behind 21 to O in the first quarter. the last three quarters saw a hardened milton defense, but the offense just couldnlt put the points on the board. the final buzzer sounded with the eagles on the bottom 21 to O. 21

duluth was milton's next opponent. the wildcats sloshed on the scoreboard early and were never to be headed. the muddy conditions along with duluth's defense prevented the eagles from sustaining a scoring drive. the final score proved fatal - duluth 28 to milton's O. in sub-freezing weatherthe eagles traveled to lovett to face the lions. the eagles matched the lions on the field and on the scoreboard during the first half. in the second half the eagles didn't fare quite as well, losing by the score of 14 to 7.
