In 1953 the number increased to one hundred and fifteen. A feature of the last two years has been a Sunday evening program of music to which all the churches of the town have been invited. The Spring of 1953 marked the first visit of the Girls' Chorus from Milton to the District Music Festival. The Girls' Chorus attended the Music Festival in Carrollton again this year. The main highlight of the year consists of a combination program displaying the talents of the Music and Dramatic Clubs-this is presented at Christmas. 11 TE 70 , DI! ind PIC

Four new instruments were purchased by the school, pro- viding better balance of instrumentation and making pos- sible greater advances in the type of music played. Z MUSIC CLUB This Club has the distinction of being the oldest club at Milton. At each meeting the members discuss some great composer after which they play numbers written by him. At the end of the year, the club puts on a music recital to show what they have learned during the year. Since it was organized in 1943, the Library Staffhas helped us get the books we need and keep the library in good condition.
