X N, SSN Though we now have a yearbook which furnishes us with a summary of the year's acti- vities, our daily record would be incomplete without our own newspaper. School Echoes came into being in 1949 with Miss Crawford directing publication. The name was submitted by Iverine Waldrop. Now the journalism Class, with Mr. Wilson directing, is kept hopping getting the latest news of the school and its students. We even had an Extra this year when we won the football title. 44 Q5 x K P x y f 35 Editors, Carolyn Lawson and Douglas Haney Club News, juanita Collett Sporls, Gilbert Phillips, Marcus Fouts, Don White Business Manager. I AERIE STAFF May, 1953, saw Milton's first yearbook 1, roll from the press! It was the end of a dream and a lot of hard, realistic work. The Beta Club in looking for a worth- while project for that school year, de- cided to publish an annual. Little did we know what that really involved! We stayed on the go constantly, seeing that the camera took in all events, matching names with faces, writing and correcting copy, and all the other nu- merous loose ends which have to be tied. When we gaze at our completed Aerie, however, we know it was worth it after alll A Q 4' 41. bd .QR Douglas Haney Editor Barbara Abercrombie Co-Editor 'art K r 1 if -1: f ri 5. 1:- ,1 Q55 Sports lftlitorss Norman David and Don Smith Feature Ifditors: Ann Reese an-I Rt-ba Sue Cox Circulation and Snapshots: Carolyn Lawson and june Fields Classes and feathers: Carolyn iistes, liulshie jean Cox, Kinrdell Abernathy, Charlesia Cobb 4. v t if -1. ef- , 1' , ie 3?
