FOREWORD Careers is not only the theme of the 1954 annual, but it is really the key to what the future holds for us. Although our school days will always linger in our hearts, we must bid them adieu and with a steadfast and true spirit face the road of life. Through our high school years we have been preparing for the future ones. Some of us will continue our formal education, some will enter the armed forces, and others will immediately enter the various businesses of the community. No matter which road we choose to travel, there will be boundless opportunities for all of us. However, with these opportunities will come responsibilities, which we must be prepared to accept. Today we are faced with a troubled world, and it will be our job to aid in making it safe and secure for the future. Let us meet this challenge. 1 .f
