Left to Higlit-fllerlvert Mcrtz, Treasurer: Jerry 1't-ppernnxn, Prvsimlentg Audrey Munson. Sf-1-ri-tary: Ellen Stillvs, Vive l'resident. Presidentis Message As President of the Senior Class, I wish to express my thanks to the members of the class of 194-9 and to the members of the faculty who have made this year a successful one. Through happiness and pleasure, through troubles and hardships, we have worked together to make this year the best year of our school life. Now the time has come for us to step forward, to take our place in the world. School life is more than twelve years of lessons and homework, its athletic contests, the opening of the new High School Athletic Field, parties, dances, the class play, and above all, memories. Yes, memories. Now it is time to forge ahead and accomplish greater things. Some of us will go on to college, others will enter industryg but most of us boys will answer the call of Uncle Sam for our allotted share of military service. Turmoil and conflict everywhere make the world today a perplexing one for us to face. Our problems will be great and difficult. Some of us will take them easy, others will have a more diliicult time solving them. Whatever we do I know will be for the best. The warmth of our friendships has become a vital part of our personalities. The smile of a friend will always be one of life's greatest pleasures. With a feeling of sadness we each go our separate way. Some of us will see each other every day, others may never again meet after graduation. In closing I just want to congratulate all of you for such a co-operative and successful year together. May God lead us all in the path to happiness and success. 10
