Basketball Replacing its lack of height with desire and drive, our varsity basketeers completed its season with an 8 and 9 won and lost record. The Jayvees, often overlooked, gave the fans and their school much to cheer about. VVith the return of several lettermen and the experience gained by a hustling LV. club, the prospects are bright for the next season. Indoor Track Our indoor track and field men came along very fast after a slow start this year, and wound up the season with an even won and lost record. Early morning and late evening practice sessions vvere accepted as routine and Coaches Pedersen and Carnie agree that not a finer squad of boys could have represented M.H.S. Wrestling Although Wrestling has been an organized sport at Milton for a very short time, it has, through su- perb coaching and sheer Work, become one of the most popular. Fans poured into the gym in unex- pected numbers to watch Coach Tarditf's matmen compile a 10 and 3 Won-lost record. They have earned all the accolades bestowed upon them. WRESTLING Front row: D. Although it is difficult to account in writing for Our hooters iinshed second in the Bay State SOCCER CROSS COUNTRY Front row: P. Schmidt, R chan, S. Needle, P. Murray Cross Country a season that produced but one victory in nine meets, it is nevertheless with pride that We salute our Cross Country representatives in the Bay State League. For it was lack of numbers rather than lack of spirit or desire that prevented a more creditable record. With a larger turnout next year our harriers will be right back at the top of the standings. Soccer Riley, T. Roulston, S. Astra- League in the 1962 season with a 5-4-L record. De- fensively the team Was the giant of the league and occasionally ran Wild on offense. Their six-goal bar- rage against Quincy Was an example of this. Coach Pedersen hopes for an even better record next season as many of his sophomores and juniors return to action. lfront row: R.
